Biblical Meals

Inside the Museum there are two rooms with reclining tables. Be sure not to miss seeing the two stunning biblical meal rooms!

The “Jerusalem Biblical Meal Room” is a copy of one discovered at Pompeii. The “Mount Zion Biblical Meal Room” is a replica of one discovered at Herculaneum. Both of these ancient cities were destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in Italy in 79 C.E., and they offer an example of First Century culture.

What is the Biblical Meal Like?

The $30 meal price ($18 for children under 12) includes:

  1. Entrance fee to the museum and all its archeological replicas and outdoor exhibits.
  2. The four-course meal consists of 15 different food items, including soup, salad, main course, dessert and all beverages (grape juice, water, or wine).
  3. The meal lasts one to one and a half hours.  Combined with the Garden Walk, please allow three hours.
  4. Opportunity to purchase unique items and resource materials from our gift shop/bookstore to help you share this experience with your own church or community group.
